Time line of the Club

  • 1969

    The First Match

    Slacks Creek Junior Cricket Club was started by Keith Brough in 1969. The first match was played against Woodridge on 16th March, 1969. Keith was active with the club until 1980 when he was made a life member.

  • 1977

    Concrete Pitch

    A concrete pitch was installed at Usher Park and the club had 4 teams competing. This was up from the 2 teams that were fielded between 1973 - 1977

  • 1984

    Homestead Park

    Talks with Springwood Invitation 11 (Senior Teams) to merge with the Juniors. Talks with Alderman Huan Fraser & Alderman Allan de Brenni from Logan City Council On the development of Homestead Park with 2 Cricket Ovals & 2 Rugby Union Fields for next season.

  • 1985

    The Bunker

    Merged with Seniors and built “the Bunker”, which is what the Clubhouse was then affectionately known as.

  • 1989

    New Venues

    We started looking for a new home ground due to disharmony at Usher Park. We gained access to Loganholme State School, Slacks Creek State School & Springwood High School.
